Center of Research and Development for a Model Neighborhood
Based on Sustainable Supporting Systems
The initiative concentrates on the basic survival NEEDS that include a suitable home, water, food, energy, infrastructure and recycling, development and economy for communities on a worldwide scale and empowers the integration of the transition to ecological sustainability and balanced innovation.
The Vision of the project is to establish an organizational structure including staff that will enable the establishment of sustainable neighborhoods in the areas in which there is demand. The staff teams will include: Technological Research and Development Team, Economics, Reporting and Costs Team, Scouting Team (To identify land, population, logistics, etc.) Engineering Team to manage the project and interface between technological systems, Professional Training and Local Development Team, Customer Service Team and Maintenance crews.
The Initiative’s Goal: The Project is to establish a Model Neighborhood. The neighborhood will integrate technological systems in full synergy to provide for residents’ basic human needs without being dependent upon state infrastructures and even at an advanced stage will provide resources for the wider infrastructure network.
The Sustainability Group is experienced in the advancement and execution with an emphasis on innovative and advanced Green Building methods as well as training staff to work with these technologies.
As professionals dealing with quick, cheap, efficient and sustainable, we were exposed to the worldwide survival need of many populations. The solution to this need is found at home, as a space that can provide every resource necessary for human existence.
In the Developed World a home, beyond a basic shelter and an intimate family space provides systems including, water, sewage, energy, equipment to produce food, food storage, equipment to produce heating and cooling and provides a multitude of opportunities for local culture. This is characteristic of the basic needs of the average member of western civilization.
In many places throughout Third World Nations, the situation in far from western standards and on the contrary, many people are subjected to the mercy of nature, and many times this determines their existence.
In a reality in which humans heavily influence natural systems by air pollution, mining and as a result of the quick development of unsustainable energy based on fossil fuels, the destruction of the oceans of fish stocks, pollution of streams and deep aquifers, deforestation, harm to the food chain and natural ecology that plants and animals depend on; these and other large scale actions that developed nations promote, of course the dependence of developing nations on the mercy of nature is harmed and even arrives at the unacceptable extreme point.
There are no brakes on this stark reality, a reality that pushes people and nations to extreme situations of emergency survival. This situation causes actions that are associated with instability and as a result we experience wars, migration, accelerated deforestation, global warming and CO2 emissions, destruction of the atmosphere, accelerated destruction of ecological habitats, which together produce an increasingly unbalanced and dangerous world.
The Sustainability Group is striving to focus all energies into stopping this unbearable reality.
In our vision, people receive their basic needs together with their home in any place where the need arises in which the city/neighborhood takes cares of these needs first and foremost, and then on those building blocks the community builds society, education and creativity in a balanced manner.
Our first step is to unite researchers, knowledge and technology that are the most advanced and ecological to create a unique programmed system that works in full synergy and integration to create a neighborhood that will be supplied as an inclusive system. Therefore, we will create the Book of Synergy and Integration that includes unprecedented planning, systems and technology, units of measure, quantity and costs reports, operations, support and feedback teams, task lists, computing and control.
These aspects will interact in research and development whose goal is to create and to connect the technological program. The researchers will coordinate the umbrella of systems that together are self-sustainable for instance: energy production systems (sun, steam, solar, hydrogen, turbines, air aluminum, bio-gas, wind and more…), food production systems (hydroponic greenhouses, aquaponics, permaculture and organics), water production and desalination systems, infrastructure and innovative sewage systems, computing system that manages resources and reports malfunctions, coordination of building and development methods, applications of quick and efficient building and more infrastructure and required systems.
The essence of each system will be implemented in a Center that will function as a Model Neighborhood (prototype) that will contain homes and supporting structures such as greenhouses, research center and a factory for small industry that will connect the technology, advanced and ecological infrastructure based on a synergized technological program entirely disconnected from the national network and will be operated by the researchers that live there. Right before their eyes, the stabilized system and neighborhood will operate independently as much as possible.
As this model becomes established, we will prove its stability and will strive to market a set that includes local development. *Sustainability Group staff will escort locals in the establishment of around 100-200 buildings including systems and factories. *A staff that establishes an arrangement that supports between 100-200 additional local storage and maintenance facilities. * The establishment of a local training program demanding between 100-200 additional buildings (In all 600 households will be built until the professional staff exits and the locals will take over the continued development.) In addition, the Sustainability Group will provide a detailed quantity report and a contract that includes a minimum of imported materials that is not available in that country and will include a detailed budget of costs. Systems will be supplied by companies who are proven by the Integration book, systems and components that are manufactured within that country will increase their systems into the Integration book at a more advanced stage. The policy development will support 600 households from government budgets. Of course, all matters pertaining to international contracts will be defined by the Board of Directors of the Sustainability Group.
The Economic Idea behind supplying technological-sustainable neighborhoods are first the ability to show a precise cost for neighborhoods including infrastructure and basic survival needs in places where there is no existing infrastructure like this and the distributed costs that are spread out are politically expensive, is not known and impossible to achieve soon. When we fulfill our vision and our staff will establish independent and sustainable neighborhoods, then many people will receive their basic needs. Of course, in a reality in which humans have no need to struggle for survival daily for themselves and their families, free time accumulates in which a new era will begin of society, higher education and creativity.
As a part of the technological program, we calculate that it will include production of the supporting systems in homes and in hangars that can be utilized for small industry and as a result, an opportunity is presented where companies receive buildings, including full infrastructure for a symbolic price and human resources and labor for a low hourly cost. Since the residents of the neighborhood have their basic needs met, they will be able to provide inexpensive labor to these factories and then will be able to make a return on the necessary investment to execute the neighborhood and to state taxes so that countries will have an interest to continue their investment in this type of development into the future.
In this manner, we are creating broad economic development that provides new jobs and green and ecological international development.

We understand that to create a development model of this kind, there is a demand for consolidation and for the Sustainability Group to work in focus, unified and branches.

The Sustainability Group is connected to experienced engineers in special engineering for round buildings and for this particular method of building, that are interested in developing this method of monolithic building.
As part of our staff for organic agricultural development and accompaniment in the agricultural field, we are cooperating with “Earth’s Promise” that operates organic farms that deals with urban agriculture in ecological methods, the goal of cooperation is to train staff and conduct agricultural research from a local and cultural perspective.
Engineering staff and training academics to constitute the next generation of management of staff, the establishment of neighborhoods- we are connecting to “Engineers without Borders”, the organization conducts many international projects and have experience in the fields of sustainable technology systems dealing with water, energy, infrastructure and other developments. This organization represents to us an important advanced Israeli and international engineering that has great value to the Sustainability Group’s project.
Sustainability Group Staff will arrive in different countries that have different local cultures as part of international development and assistance, therefore varied professional training is required to work effectively within these cultures, and so we have connected to the organization “Seed Israel” and “Humanitarian Assistance School” who are both known on an international level and have a deep understanding of the arena.
